History of York County Exhibit ends February 28th!

​The end of our current display is fastly approaching. With only a few more days left, make sure to swing by soon if you want to see it in person. The display is laid out – roughly – like a map of York County, featuring several artifacts representing the different towns included in the county. 
 
Some highlights include:

• Pictures of Earl Cooper, Motorsports Hall of Fame of America Inductee (Arborville)
• Photos of the Kaeding Homestead (Benedict)
• Civil War Powder Porch (Bradshaw)
• Immigrant House Painting by Roy Tucker (Henderson)
• PK Moore Drug Store Canvas (Lushton)
• Photos of Dave Erb, Kentucky Derby Winner (Charleston)
• Bell Clinic Door (York)
• Portion of Blue River Bank Counter (McCool Junction)
• Baseball Relics (Waco)
• Photo of Steve Henson (Thayer)
• Military Items belonging to Clarkson Doan (Gresham)
• As well as several items linked to prominent York County figures such as the McCloud family, Lige Levitt, Fred Niblo, and Hub Foster

 
Friday, February 28th will be the last day to see these items. Starting the following week, we will be closed to work on rotating to our next exhibit, which is on fashion! Several of these came from community members, and we’re excited to choose the name with the most votes on Tuesday, February 25th!
