The Anna Bemis Palmer Museum will be CLOSED for the month of March 2026 while we rotate to our next exhibit, “Established 1776: From Revolution to Routine.”
This exhibit will explore the objects and stories that shaped everyday American life from the nation’s founding through the turn of the 20th century.
Running April–August 2026, “Established 1776” blends Early Americana with artifacts from our own collection dated 1899 and earlier, revealing how bold revolutionary ideas gradually became part of daily life.
From the dramatic to the delightfully ordinary, discover how history lived, worked, and evolved long before it became “the past.”
