I perfect spot on a hot day. The preservation of items from the 19 th century is incredible.

Super nice lady, she knows her museum inside and out! She was a pleasure to be around and made our experiences wonderful. Seeing all of the treasures from the early to late 1800s was amazing and to have so much history/information to each artifact was just great! Highly recommend checking it out! The best part: admission is free and there is candy for the kiddos (and us "big kids" too of course 😉 lol)

This small museum has free admission, friendly staff, and themed exhibits that change every few months. Currently it is exhibiting artifacts from York County, with tables devoted to most towns and a larger portion about York itself. We especially loved seeing the mannequins dressed in wedding dresses from different eras. It didn’t take us more than 40 minutes to quickly look around at most things, but with the range of material available, including history books to look through, you could easily spend hours! The staffer Sue explained that they are open to themed exhibits based on community interest. I will return the next time I’m in the area!
