Exhibits at the Anna Bemis Palmer Museum
Our Artwork Exhibition is now open to the public. It will run from April 2nd to August 2nd. There are several items on display ranging from paintings, to photography, to quilting, to wood working, to music. There is even a spotlight on Fred Niblo in the Visual Arts category, as 2024 is the 150th year since his birth. For those unaware, Fred Niblo was born in York and went on to cofound the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.
Museum visitors can also create their own artwork onsite or bring from home to submit to the community artwork competition. Items will be divided by medium and then the public will vote for their favorites. Winning items will make the museum’s permanent collection. For more information on the competition click HERE or stop by during our open hours to speak to staff. The Anna Bemis Palmer Museum is open Tuesdays-Fridays from 10am-4pm. There will also be several art programs and classes between April and August. If you’re a local artist and willing to donate your time to teach a class please reach out to museum staff via the website. |
