Welcome to the official blog for the Anna Bemis Palmer Museum, or the Anna Bemis Palmer Classroom and Archives, or the Anna Bemis Palmer Collection.

We go by many names, but all have the same goal, and that’s to share the history of York and surrounding counties. In fact, we have items in our collection, not only from surrounding states, but surrounding countries as well!

The collection has grown rapidly over the years, but began with Anna herself, collecting and maintaining historic items in her own home. When you visit you’ll see items ranging from Civil War belts, to keys to the first building erected in Nebraska, to shoes worn on the Great Wall of China.

​There are so many items of so many categories that we plan to rotate themed display just to give each one their time to shine.
